This villa in Berlin-Zehlendorf is composed of white, cubic volumes that step and shift to create terraces, covered entrances and different heights between the rooms. The composition responds to the garden and to the orientation of the plot, opening generously towards the garden and remaining more closed towards the street.

Inside, a timber stair and slatted timber screens introduce warmth and texture to the otherwise calm, white spaces. Bathrooms are lit by skylights, and even the basement receives daylight through a light well, becoming a fully usable part of the house. The construction combined in-situ concrete slabs with a precast stair lifted into place by crane. The result is a contemporary family house of clear forms and carefully controlled light, finished and inhabited since 2021.
